To travel is to LIVE....
As a busy wife and mom its so hard to travel which is one of my favorite things to do. Life get so busy between work, kids, meal planning, sick kids, cleaning, birthday parties I mean the list could go on for days. I just love to travel period so I make a point to schedule a weekend trip at least one a year alone (without the kids or husband) luckily I have an amazing husband who is really supportive and encourages me to go. With that being said another interesting fact about me and traveling is that I always get sick on planes! My family, especially my mom and sister claim that I was born nauseous. And as luck would have it, the actual being sick part seems to be getting so much worse with age. Honestly, I will still get on a plane knowing that I will most likely get sick in order to travel and seeing new things. Here are a few photos from a recent trip to Arizona I took a few weeks ago. It was a much needed trip to see some awesome friends and also a chance to take some amazing photos in some of our new styles.
This view was amazing, it was windy and pretty cold the whole weekend I was there it didn't get above 50 degrees...but still better than the 13 degrees I left in Denver.
I thinks it's interesting how your opinions and thoughts change over time. If you would have asked me 10 years ago my thoughts on the desert I would have said its boring and not pretty at all. Now, as it turns out I think the desert is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to. Maybe its because its so different from where I grew up (Maine) and really different from where I live now (Denver). Or maybe its because I got the chance to go and experience it without having to wrangle my little kids the whole time....I know all of you moms out there can relate. We appreciate things more when you can stop and really see them. I love the colors, flowers, cactus, and architecture. I am so grateful that I was able to experience this amazing place.
I love this quote: "Fill your life with adventures not things. Have stories to tell not stuff to show."
